The light is very sensitive to motion and seems to come on when we or our dogs get within 12-15'. It's also nice that this light, despite being in a darker room, doesn't come on and stay on during the day like some nightlights. Would RecommendThis was exactly what we needed. Works well and stays on for about 90 seconds after the last motion activity. I wish we had purchased sooner! Just one note, a wifi extender was plugged into the adjoined outlet and the activity from that apparently interfered with the light, causing it to stay on most of the time. The wifi extender was relocated and all is well.
