Motor didn’t last!!!

After less than 3 years old, the noises coming from this machine will wake the dead! If it decides to enter the spin cycle it sounds like a jet aircraft taking off! Apparently the pump and part# WH03X29524 Washer Drive Motor has a bad bearing. So much for 10 year warranty on that. Maybe send me the parts and my husband will fix it.

Do not buy

Washer broke down after only 2 years. Would have cost way too much to repair. Went back to an LG washer. I do not recommend this GE washer.

Control board replacement

Really liked the washing machine when it was installed in our new construction house. We have had Samsung or LG machines in the past, but I wanted a large washer, so we went with the GE washer and dryer as a set. They worked very well for several months, and then the washing machine door locked and displayed several error codes. The repair man came and determined we needed a new control board and has ordered it. We will be without a washing machine for 2-3 weeks. Not at all what I expected from ...

Early death to a premium machine.

Owned for almost three years and now it’s dead. Service guy diagnosed as inverter is bad. A little research shows this as a common issue with these machines. What happened to machines lasting ten plus years? When a person pays premium money they expect more life than this! Due to the fact this machine is out of warranty, I’m sure there’s no way that the manufacturer will help in any way. Really disappointed in this machine and it’s failure.

Broke down after 2 .5 years

This washer didn’t even last 3 years. We bought it new September 2023 and it stopped draining after the spin cycle. We’ve had a repair man come after just 1.5 years to fix the control board that broke and we had him come again 3 times to fix this issue but he figures it’s a wiring issue that can’t be fixed.

poor performance

After couple of years washer front start leaking. eve it says 10 years warranty i can barely read the serial number to file a claim

Piece of crap, should be a class action lawsuit against GE for this product line. Don't buy, it sucks.

Terrible product. DO NOT buy

This is the worst washer/dryer set I have ever owned. Within 1 year and 20 days the control board on the dryer went out. Then within 20 months the washer control board went out. The set I had previously lasted for 12 years with zero issues. This set has been NOTHING but problems from the beginning. Odor control is a CROCK. It doesn't get the clothes clean. And I have spent more in repairs that aren't covered by the limited warranty than I did on the whole set.

Control board dies after 1.5 yrs

This machine works great until after 1.5 yrs when the control panel goes out after there is no further warranty, causing expensive repairs to the point where it’s better to buy a new one. I was expecting Better quality from GE. Never again.

Unhappy

After limited use I need to replace my washer. The washer stops at the s pin cycle and the drain fills with water . After two visits by a repairman and a new drain , the drain will still not work properly. I will look for a replacement that is not GE!

Poor quality and service

This washer started having issues as the 2 year warranty mark. First issue was simple, drain hose became clogged. 2nd issue requires a new speed sensor and possible a new inverter. I won’t know until I test each part. GE is willing to cover under warranty even tho it’s 1 month past the 2 year mark. However, the appliance tech company they will not budge on is booked out 4 weeks from this post.

Horrible disposable unit

Horrible unit We purchased a ultrafresh unit in 2021 it only lasted about 3 years before the the main circuitboard gave out. Thinking it was a fault and user error and related to home electric surge, we bought another unit as we were able to get a decent price with military discount etc. Unfortunately we are just shy of two years and the second unit has faulted as well, this time the inverter board is fried. Died after 4 years!

Washer worked okay for the first few years. Prone to mold/mildew even though I left the door open after every use. Died after 4 years of low to average use. For the price of this unit, I would have expected a longer life.

Stay away

We just had the motherboard replaced 5 weeks ago after only 2 years and now the washer is broken again. It’s doing the same thing as before the motherboard was replaced. It will not rinse and spin.

Do not buy

Drain and control board breaks at the same time. Piece of junk all after they no longe manufacture anything.

Bad Machine

Beautiful machine but this one is a dud! I've had 4 service calls on it since I've owned it just over 2 1/2 years and many trips to the laundry mat. This last call the service company had replaced the circuit board and motor and it still didn't work, they have deemed it non repairable. Do not buy this machine!

Do not buy

Have had this washer for 2 years. right after about a year the washer will not spin on max - only on high. thought first it was the pump but the pump was fine and it didn't change anything after i replaced it. Just today it would not unlock. Was able to unplug the cable and thankfully unload the laundry. Now it will not start a new program. It will sound like it's trying to start. door will not lock and no water is being pumped in. Complains after a minute or so that the door is not closed. I h...

Disappointing Performance

Cleaning performance is disappointing, especially if the Extra Rinse option is not selected. The filter design is poorly thought out - there is no practical way to clean it without water spilling and creating a mess. For a stackable appliance, basic service access is difficult; reaching internal components requires disassembling the entire top of the machine, which is impractical and user-unfriendly. Stopped working after just 2.5 years.

Horrible Purchase

This washer is less than 2 years old and broke twice. Once was for not draining properly and second time it needed an entire motor replacement-motherboard was fried (like many others I just read about). Additionally, we chose this washer for the vent reason and it didn't even do that properly. This occurred during the holiday time so it was extremely inconvenient and so frustrating. Never buying GE again
