If you use delay start, beware

My wife and I are very frustrated by this dishwasher's delay start feature. After starting a delay start, if the door is opened, you have to press the Start button again. Otherwise, the dishwasher will never start. This is a problem in a household where people are likely to forget to push Start after opening it, and we're sick of opening the dishwasher in the morning to find a load of dirty dishes. Awful Experience

This dishwasher stopped working 3 weeks after install and had to be replaced. The control completely stopped working and we left 2 weeks without a dishwasher until it was replaced.

Looks nice, doesn't perform as well as it looks

It had a constant banging noise and then the water stopped coming into the dishwasher and I knew it wasn't that great.

Beware of Sharp Edges!

I want to love this super quiet dishwasher, but I have found two flaws that I felt I should share. First, beware of a sharp metal edge inside the rack. When extended the metal is exposed and unfortunately, I cut my finger removing a glass. See the circled area in photo. Secondly, the bottom rack is a problem because the rubber seal on the right side is not aligned properly. I constantly have to push harder than normal to get the rack in place. Works well but overall unimpressed

Overall the washer works well. Main disappointment is how poorly the middle and bottom racks slide in and out. They need are not smooth at all and the utensil holder on the bottom rack always hits the side so need to push it aside to get rack in. For the price this should not be such an issue. Update: Got a response from GE saying best to pull/push from the front. That's exactly how we've done for years with many models. A more honest review will be needed around year 5 to see if there are early random failures or wear out failures that happen before intended life. Buttons on the UI are sensitive. Absolutely disgusted with Lowe's service and installation. The dishwasher is still not installed. My cabinets are damaged. I cannot get anyone to respond from Lowe's to address this mess.

Beware of door dings

The first unit we received had a big dent in the door. We had to wait another week to receive the replacement. The unit does not come with a power cord or the 90 degree elbow for the water supply connection on the dishwasher. I had to visit two different stores to find the correct parts. After we installed the dishwasher, it has been working great and is super quiet.

DON'T BUY THIS!

We have had this for 6 weeks now. It worked 3 times. Water leaked everywhere. Called for service. Person said need a new unit. Lowes said need to go through GE. GE comes out, orders parts, installed parts. Immediately leaking again. Called Lowes, Jessica said will order new unit. Called 1 week later to follow up and told she never ordered it because store manager said NO. Never told us. Called GE back. New tech came our, said element melted water sprayer spinning piece. Abysmal Reliability

The control board died on our 2024 model after about 2 years. That is truly horrific for a dishwasher that retails at around $1200. The repairs (not under warranty) come to $495 which is about half what we paid for it and about what we can get a non-Profile model for at list price. This dishwasher replaced a KitchenAid dishwasher that was still fully operational after 25 years of use!

Follow directions closely. Each step is important.

Installation was fairly easy with provided instructions. Only issue I discovered was the rack that holds silverware that attaches to the side of the bottom rolling rack catches on the tub seal. Definitely a manufacturing issue. Over time this could damage the tub seal if not corrected. I was able to slightly bend rack inwards so silverware rack does not rub on seal when pulling it out and pushing it in. Great dishwasher! This is our second GE Profile.
