We had a Maytag washing machine that we loved for 14 years. I have never had a GE washer, but we live in a townhome and are restricted by size and this was one of the only items that fit our dimensions and had all of the features we desired. Front bottom door problem
Washing performance is ok. My biggest complaint is that the right bottom door to remove items from the pump filter and drain water from the drain horse is very hard to open. I have to struggle to open it with the driver!!

Many features, efficient and performance excellent
Would RecommendI had to choose this 2.4 cu.ft. washer for lack of space. However, following the 8 lb rule for a small washer this washer is excellent in cleaning my clothes. I like the design of the washer and how well it washes. I had a Samsung and they may look nice, it did not perform as well as the GE I now have. I also learned that you need to clean the filter in the front of the washer every 30 loads. I recommend buying this washer when space is a challenge.
