Door defect
I bought this microwave about 1 year ago. It worked fine at first then the button to open the door started malfunctioning. I have to push it several times to get it to open. This microwave replaced the previous Frigidaire I had, which I got rid of because it had the same problem. I was told that model was discontinued and this one replaced it. Because I'm having the same problem, it appears there may be a defect in this door.

Understand why replaced by 3068
Used this 0226 unit for less than 14 months and it died. The door latch always was wobbly but it finally short circuited. And of course I paid for the trim kit, too. Expensive piece of nothing!

It was good until it stopped working.
We have 4 of these models from our office build out. One of them just stopped working. I will only stay on for 2-3 seconds then cut off. I am not sure what the solution is, but I am concerned because we have 4 of them and with more people in the office, I am worried that they may all break down. Has anyone had this issue? I can only give 3 stars at this point. It really depends on customer service as to how I view this moving forward.

Bad microwave
This came with my home. From day one it made sparks every time we used it. Make a long story short it almost caught my home on fire. I would not recommend this product.

Our FGM0226NUF microwave was installed in 2019 and we had no problems until a few days ago with smell of burnt rubber. We were told this can be an electrical problem and not to use it. Major Disappointment!
I have only had this product a little over a year and the Magnetron has already gone out (Manufactured November 2020). Started sparking and a fire broke out inside the microwave. It seems from the other reviews on here that that is a big problem with this model. I'd like to figure out how to get a replacement microwave where I don't have to order another trim kit? Not worth it
Bought a brand new house and this microwave came with it. It only worked for about four months then it started making horrible noises and throwing sparks and arcing badly. Repair man came as it was under warranty and it was determined to be defective. If I could gi e 0 stars I would. Still waiting for a resolution.

Sparks and dreadful sounds

Recently it started making sparks and I could smell something burning. I don’t know what had started the problem but I’m glad it didn’t caught my kitchen cabinet on fire.
