Would Not RecommendI bought a Fluidmaster Toilet Fill Valve in August 2005 and installed it in the same month. When I flushed the toilet the valve made a high pitched whistling noise. So, I immediately called the company and told them about the problem. The representative said that the noise was normal at first, but it would subside in about a week. It has now been nine months and the valve still makes the same type of noise. This is bizarre since the company advertises the valve as being "Now quieter and faster."...

Just the Fill Valve, when you don't need a Flapper
Would RecommendI only needed to replace the fill valve. Drained the tank, unmounted the existing valve. I laid the new valve next to the old and set the height on the new valve by comparing the two side by side. Installed the new valve. Done. A 1 for 1 swap that took 15 minutes.
