Not working properly 100% of the time

Installed this a few weeks ago to replace the 18 year old original and that was easy enough. However, the float will not go to the top position after most flushes so the water runs a little trying to fill the tank which was set at about a half inch below the top of the tube. If I hit the tank just hard enough there would be a rush of water and then it would stop as the float would free up and finish filling the tank. These always work for me. And they are fairly inexpensive. You may have to replave the valve cover 1 or 2 times before you need another.

Easy To Install Toilet Fill Valve.And Flapper

This fill valve and flapper was very reasonably priced and very easy to install with the help of the included instructions and a YouTube video that I watched. It has met my expectations.

Until I opened the package, I did not know the flapper valve had plastic wings to clip on tabs my fill tube does not have. The description of the product is incomplete. I would suggest a customer buy the fill valve alone and buy a flapper valve separately, if you must. Don't buy this product unless you're desperate and check you have round tabs on the fill tube. Me, I don't like the plastic on the flapper valve anyway.

Flapper issue

The flapper that comes with this package has hard plastic hinges where it connects to the tube. That stops the flapper from working properly. It hangs up when lifted and won’t lay back down.

No frills here. Want something that works, get this. I used this to fix a running toilet. I just used the flapper, and put the other part away for another time.

Fluidmaster - easy to install and works well

I have installed close to 1/2 a dozen fluildmasters now (I'm not a professional!!!) and they are very easy to install and work well. I figured to control the flush so that I save 1/4 gallon (vs 1 gallon for full flush) each time. Here is the math: Imagine if you flush 10 times with 1/4 gallon less flush a day per toilet. That 2.5 gallons a day, 75 gallons a month and 900 gallons a year. If I take my neighborhood of 300, i.e 270,000 gallons i.e. 1 million liters. Next time make sure you cut 1/...
