Ratings & Reviews for Fiskars Large Softgrip Steel Bypass Hand Pruner with Standard handle
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise these pruners for sharp bypass blades that cut smoothly through branches up to 3/4 inch without crushing stems, ergonomic softgrip handles that reduce hand fatigue, and a secure one-handed locking mechanism. Many highlight how the tool makes pruning accessible for those with limited hand strength or arthritis. The blades retain sharpness over repeated use on tough vines and woody stems. A small number report locking mechanism failures or handles too large for smaller hands, but most consider the pruners reliable and effective for routine gardening.

Fisker Hand Pruner
Would RecommendThese Fisker hand pruners are the only brand I buy. The hand grip fits in the hand well and they perform as expected

Poor quality
Would Not RecommendI used these pruners at work and purchased a pair for myself. Both sets worked fine for a few cuts, but then the blades became unaligned and unusable without manually aligning the blades for each subsequent cut. Fiskars generally has good products, but this one is not worth buying.
Fantastic
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are great! Super durable and well-made. These are perfect for dead-heading in the garden and trimming small twigs and plants. I use these in my garden daily and they’ve held up perfectly!

Plastic Part Broke
Would Not RecommendWorked OK until I dropped on on a sidewalk next to the hedges I was trimming. Little plastic locking mechanism latch on the top popped right off, broken, no way to fix it. Cheap construction, not made to last, and I'm replacing them with a Swiss made all metal competitor, where many reviewers have said that they've had the shears for decades.
Thank you for your feedback.

Make trimming bushes easier
Would RecommendI am replacing both products which are similar to what I had..both have been used already and made a difficult job much easier. The other two were about 9 yrs old and getting a bit dull.

Disappointed in this product, didn’t hold up
Would Not RecommendThey say lifetime guarantee, hah, they didn’t make it through one small bush trimming. After finishing, they did not want to close so I could lock them. I had to force them closed and pinched my finger. I returned them. Disappointed. Usually I’ve always had good experiences with this brand, not this time.

While this one missed the mark, we value your past trust in the brand and hope a future tool restores your confidence.
