Very substantial. I like the point on the skinnier shovel as it helps get down in the hole or break up some roots. The handle is comfortable and I like the no-slip grip.

I ordered this set of 3 tools in preparation of planting my herb and veggie garden this summer. These tools made it SO much easier! the tools are sturdy and heavy, definitely holds up better against the earth than I do. highly recommend! (I even got my mom a set for her garden, too!)

They are nice and sturdy. I love the plastic/rubber grip on the handles. Also the measuring bar on the thinner trowel is great to measure the depth of the seeds.

It comes with three different tools to help you get done the basic things you need done. 2 shovels and a rake for getting out weeds which works great. They are very durable so far and one shovel comes with a built in ruler which is pretty helpful.
