Not that easy to install
Would Not RecommendI replaced the same model, and used the original base and the same wire plug. I researched how, but wasn't strong enough to make it connect properly and had to call an electrician which I should not have had to do. I did not appreciate the additional cost.

Would Not RecommendI’ve been living in a new home where First Alert smoke/co detectors were installed. Within 3 weeks, the master bedroom smoke detector activated at 2am for no reason. The electrician left me a new detector, and this one beeps continuously when the battery strip was removed. I can’t trust this product and I replaced them all with another brand.
