The best news I can give you, these screws heads did not break or the heat Strip out

Self driving screw that works great. Used a lot of them and never split a board. Star internal driving bit works good with very little (if any) spin out or stripping.

Not so great

This product was no time saver. Everything had to be pre drilled to prevent splitting. The star design driver did not grip the screw very well. In my opinion, there is not enough threads on the screw.

High Quality Screws

I used these screws to fasten 3 2x6 boards together - they worked great. Strong, star drive, but they are expensive.

very handy to use

this makes a good way to hold up joists on decks or frame of a house, I recently used it for a big sand box for the grandkids

used for back yard fence

Used these to hold some old warped posts together on my back yard fence. Worked perfectly.

Make sure you buy the tips that go with these screws, so you can drive them in easily

Pricey but fantastic

These are expensive but do a fantastic job. I'm using them to attach 2x6 joice to 4x4 support posts for a deck. Strong and pull together tightly and easily.

Super screw

I haven't had a chance to use these as yet, but would rather have a six-point drive as opposed the the setup used.

I use them in my house to tighten up the banister.

4-1/2-in Structural Wood Screws

I used these to put up some shelves for my magazines. The shelves are 7/8" plywood shelves with 2x2 glued/screwed braces and i needed both the expanse of the head, depth and the strength. They were perfect for the job. I don't know that they are worth $1 a piece but i did like getting the driver bit with them. I really like the large head as i was planning on using a washer to give the coverage i needed, with these i didn't need the washer.

Great For Hanging Cabinets

I built a cabinet like thing, lets call it that for lack of better descriptors, that was going to weigh over 100 lbs completed. I needed to anchor it through 2 inches of wood, 3/4 inch of plaster and then into the wall studs. I installed 6 of these to hold it in place, though after putting in a few, I think 3 or 4 would have been sufficient. They pull them selves through material very well, and have plenty of strength, there was no give to the cabinet at all. I did pre-drill through the cabinet...

Holding power

The only thing I can say negative about this product is the price. Over a dollar a piece is a lot per screw, but they definitely do what they say they will.

Excellent Product

Installing 4 x4 railing posts to deck. Much easier to use than lag screws or bolts. Easy to drive with included drive bit. The flat head pulled up nicely and left a pleasing appearance with the black finish. I don't know how it will stand up to the weather, time will tell. The joint was very tight due to the design of the non threaded shank. Very pleased with the security of the railing posts.

Great replacement for bolts and nuts

I love the sure grip fon this drive head and the driver is included! My corded drill drove them well. No pilot hole needed either although I did create them to keep it looking good. I ised them to hold a homemade loft together, so I can also take it back apart. Cheaper than the bolt hardware souls have been.
