Lifesaver!

I purchased a ceiling fan and down-rod from Wayfair about 6 months ago. The down-rod recommended by Wayfair was not threaded on one end, making it impossible to install. I was unable to return either item since it had been too long. Luckily Lowe’s came through for me and had the exact size and color that I needed with a threaded end!

Great for high ceilings. Fan must be rewired

This 6 foot rod brought our fan down to about a 9 feet from the floor with our 16 foot ceiling height. This is a much better fan height than using a 48" rod. Please note that you will probably need to rewire your fan. The Fanimation fan we purchased (The TWOFOLD) came with only enough wire to use a 48" or shorter downrod. To use this 72" rod, you will need to rewire the fan with about 8 feet of wire. This was easy to do and can be done by anyone with basic handyman skills.

The downrod is made of hard steel. Will not bend.

Exactly what I needed for my.angled ceiling install. Good perfect and installed easy.

Pleased

Pleased with this accessory to our fan. Ended up being too long, due to adding a much bigger beam. Our builder was able to trim it without any issues.

Does the Trick

Purchased a 60" downrod to install in a great room. Matched the fan perfectly & installed as-expected. Note that Fanimation downrods are 1" in diameter, where other manufacturers' downrods are 1/2" or 3/4" wide. So if you buy a Fanimation fan, be sure to get a Fanimation downrod (if you need one longer than the 4" downrod included with the fan).

Completed the project

This downrod was just what we needed to install our Fanimation fan at the proper height. Our bedroom has a 15' ceiling but the downrod enabled us to place the fan in the proper position. It fit perfectly with the fan we selected, no problems during installation.

Basic Downrod

Not much to review. It looks okay, and the black matte color matches my Fanimation Ceiling Fan.

Nice Switch

Switch worked after figuring how to hook it up. Instructions not the best but I got it to work.This switch is a must have. Since the fan only came with one power wire and not two (1-fan,1- light). Now I can turn on the light or fan by the switch so I'm not looking around in the dark for the remote to turn on the light. Also avoiding a stubbing of a toe!!
