I trust Valspar products.

I used this product on a bare wood 4 board horse fence made of rough sawn white oak. Because I was using a sprayer I added a little water to make it thinner. It sprayed great and near the end of the job l tried it without thinning it and it sprayed just fine. I could tell it was good quality primer because it was hard to wash off my hands after drying for a short time. I am very pleased with the results.

used this paint on exterior framing that I replaced on garage door frame. dried quickly and seems to being working just fine. Still need to touch up after framing.

Great primer

Good, thick coverage. Used it to paint exterior wood trim and the bright white looks great and the wood is protected.

Great Primet

Used on a wooden mailbox post before actually painting it. Alone, the primer would’ve been just as good. Soaked into the wood perfectly and later, the paint adhered to the primer without fail.

This product worked as advertised. The wood I used it on was well primed to accept the paint coat that came after it.
