Metal cut of saw
Have been a carpenter for over 35years used every major brand of power tool there is . recently i had a job that i needed to cut a load of metal shims for so i bought this evosaw355 and have to say its a spot on bit of kit very happy

Excellent, cuts stainless steel so easily with the correct Stainless steel blade in place. so less time consuming than using an angle grinder with cutting disc.

The itself is very good and sturdy. What I was disappointed about, was the fact, it was not mentioned anywhere, that the machine is not suitable for household electric outputs. When starting, immediately the fuse popped out and the motor stopped. I had to buy an additional device to limit the startup power. After that, it worked just fine.

When it is working it is a good tool. However, it has broken down after very little use. The mechanism that raises the blade guard out of the way is broken and does not move out of the way when the saw is lowered. This means that in order to use the saw the blade guard must be held up with one hand. It is extremely dangerous. Also, the hinge where the saw is joined to the base is very wobbly. This means that the angle of a cut can vary by a couple of degrees. It leads to inaccuracy and inconsis...

I used it in metal and wood i am completely satisfied! i haven't used it in aluminum, but i don't use it in actually any constructions so it doesn't really matter. I am really happy i bought it and i think this tool will keep making me smile every time i see it on my working bench!

The EVOSAW355 is a first class tool. In the past I have used abrasive chop saws. The EVOSAW355 leaves them all standing. It is quick, clean and powerfully. The quality of the cuts are superb. I only wish it had the quick release vise like its North American brother. But that said, a fantastic tool at a good price.

The saw is brilliant! I've been using the saw for the last 4 years in my fabrication company, and just changed it for another Evolution saw as I wore the last one out. I've cut everything from 5mm wall box section to solid square bar. The best saw I've ever used

Very pleased with saw, produces very clean cuts, it will be a useful machine. There was one fault, the clamp wasn't able to be set at exactly 90 degrees. I had to dismantle it and file the slot to get it to fit at the correct angle.

not recommended. Saw was broken after max of 1 hr use in total. Worst quality of the tool I ever bought. ...and broken down just after the warranty period (12 months) passed. Spare parts are very expensive. Disappointed in all aspects.

Absolute monster cut through 24 x 100 x 100 4 mm steel box 42 x 6 mm x 80 mm flat bar .24 cuts through 24 mm threaded rod And 22 cuts through 6 x 100 flat bar Blade still like new Well worth the money. shop around you will get a great deal

This is fine for what I want, it doesn't take up to much room and is fairly portable. I don't know how it would stand up to use on site but it,s fine in my shed and gets carried out onto the patio for cutting longer items occasionally. Seems to make far less sparks than the trusty Stihl saw that I used to use.
