You can plug it right into your wall to charge it and when you unplug it you can retract the prongs so that you can stick it right in your pocket, purse etc. It shines pretty bright and for a pretty good distance.

Good product, light could be brighter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have this plugged in one of our rooms and set it to turn on when the power goes off so that it can help illuminate the hallway. The light isn’t super bright but it’ll do if there’s a blackout and you want to avoid running into things. It works similarly to another style I have currently in my house but the light is slightly brighter. Overall, good item to have on hand for blackouts.
