fails intermittently
Would Not Recommendthought i was buying a trusted name. i see now others are also having same problem as mine with intermittent switch. too bad, seems like it would have been last flashlight i would buy - paid a lot for it to fail so quickly

Would Recommend9 AA batteries? (3 parallel of 3 in series). Why not just 3 D's? It would fit and offer more capacity.

Would Not RecommendManufacturer (Rayovac) has a manufacturing defect in the off/on button...they know about the problem but have not corrected. very bright when it works which is intermittent. Actually threw this $30 garbage away after getting caught in the dark and unable to turn on. Called Rayovac...tough luck.

Bright, not tightly focused, bad instructions
Would Not RecommendVery bright. Instructions on the package are for a different product. Switch cycles through High, Low, Strobe, and Off; once it's been on for a few seconds, pressing the switch turns it off. On High or Low, if you press and hold the switch it will gradually dim one pair of LEDs, then brighten that pair and dim the other pair.
