Leaves a bad taste in your mouth

Bought this 8 months ago. And it completely stopped filtering this week. So clearly not a 5 year filter as advertised. And it didn’t do a very good job of filtering. Ice cubes still smelled bad and tasted horrid. Bought an icepure filter on a big website that delivers in two days, and it way out filters this thing. A bit more expensive but worth it. No more bad taste or smell. So in conclusion, if you like water that smells bad and tastes bad, this is the filter for you.

Great tasting ice!

I wished it came with a wall mounting bracket.. otherwise it was very easy to install and the ice from the ice maker tastes excellent. If you are connecting only to an ice maker, first connect to the water source then flush the filter out into a bucket or pan before connecting to the refrigerator. You will see a lot of charcoal debris at first but it clears up rapidly.

I haven’t been able to use it yet because the ice maker that Lowe’s said was compatible with our fridge was NOT in fact compatible ( we found out after installing it ) , so we had to order a completely different one and it’s on back order indefinitely ! So there’s that …

Great filter

Great filter. Bought for under sink installation for our ice maker water line that goes to fridge. So far using for a month and it’s great!

Ordered Online, Lowes sent used one

I did online ordering for a water filter, it was previously opened. I am not going to buy something that I drink out of when I don't know what has been done with it.

Long lasting in line water filter.

Long lasting and works as a primary in line filter on my refrigerator. Together with actual filter inside refrigerator they dbl protect our water. I have not installed this one yet as it is a replacement for another that is reaching it's 5 yr life cycle. I fully expect this will work and last as long as the one it is about to replace.

Seems to give you 5 years of water filtering.

This is the second filter I purchased. The first one was 5 years ago and was used to pre-filter the water entering my refrigerator's water and ice machine. The filter has worked fine for 5 years and I just replaced. I have no complaints about this product.

No leaks, not much to complain about...

I like the idea of a 60-month filter, the reality, however, is unlikely. It fit my fittings without any alterations, and I have no leaks, after removing my quick-connect fittings which broke. I'm happy at the beginning. We'll see when I get to the end.
