What Customers Are Saying
The light sockets were found to be a good value by many customers, with the sockets working well and providing adequate lighting. However, a significant number of reviewers reported issues with the quality and durability of the plastic construction, noting the sockets were brittle and prone to cracking or breaking. Some customers also had trouble getting light bulbs to properly screw into the sockets. While the sockets may be an inexpensive option, the tradeoff in quality and reliability may not be worth it for all customers.

Would RecommendThis is exactly what i was looking for without knowing it. I replaced the 15 yo light fixture in my pantry. I wanted something brighter and a bulb that turns on and off automatically. I found the bulb elsewhere, a Lowe's associate lead me to this basic fixture. He was even able to tell which wires to attach to which colored connections. It was an easy installation (I spent hours trying to get a new fixture with builtin bulbs to work, without success). If you look up at the fixture, no its not pr...

Do not over tighten
Would RecommendI am very pleased with this product it can be somewhat flimsy when you over tighten screws but overall for the price it works great

Great for a fan
Would RecommendThis will go well with a screw in small ceiling fan.
Don't buy. Get the ceramic one.
Would Not RecommendIt was very difficult to install and it is very difficult to screw in a light bulb. The plastic threads are only partial and the metal contact pushes out the threads of the bulb. I had to try to push on the contact to get the bulb in. Also, the supplied screws are way too large in diameter to fit into the holes in the box. It took forever to drill out the hole in the box and get the screws in. And the screws were still very difficult to get in. Buy the ceramic socket for 50 cents more.

not a very good ground

A good fit for my project
Looks Good
Would RecommendInstallation went well
Poor customer service
Would RecommendThe product was fine. Its the service I received was terrible. They wouldnt take cash at checkout only cards! So went to customer service to see if she would check me out with cash. She ignored me while she played on phone. Finally she checked me out and I told her I was a Vet. She said, "oh you want to use that? Very unhappy with Lowes right now
Good product at a reasonable price
Would RecommendJust what I wanted at the price that didn't brake my pocket
Be prepared to go back and buy new mounting screws
Would Not RecommendThe mounting screws really suck. I had to buy different screws as the ones that came with it ended up stripping the heads when using 4 inch light box also from lowes. Had to physically break the fixture to be able to get vice grips on stripped screw to remove it.

GET THE PORCELAIN ONE!!!!
Would Not RecommendI wanted the porcelain one, but store was out of stock that day. It is only a few cents more. I bought 2 of these plastic ones and both of them cracked when I was tightening them up to the ceiling box. Which I was afraid of happening when I bought them (but I wanted something that day). So my advice to you is GET THE PORCELAIN ONE!!!!!
