Or you can use back wiring - that's not the old-style backstabbing nonsense (QuickWire), but through the back but screwed down, which is the reliable way. The electrician thought the gold tone on the outside metal was fancy - he's only seen silver before. (Brass plated; probably for tarnish resistance.)
