Lifetime Warranty didn't start untill 1996

Buy a new ball too!

The kit is just fine but it does not include a new ball. If you are going to take the time to take it apart, you should change everything. What you do get is fine and works great.

What else you need

The parts are great but be advised that the kit does not include a new stainless steel ball. If you are going to do this, you should also change the ball! And don’t forget to buy silicon grease. It would really be nice to have OEM Delta parts in a single kit that does the whole job.

Buttery smooth

Purchased this to correct a dripping 12 year old Delta faucet. My original faucet owners manual called for a different number repair kit, but this matched up perfectly. This was my first time attempting this type of repair, but with the aid of youtube accomplished the mission easily. The result is a very smooth operating faucet with no more dripping. Unbeatable customer service

I have a kitchen faucet (Delta 470SS) installed back in 2006. Developed a slight leak over a year ago -- handle/lever had to be in a particular/off-center position to prevent drips. Delta Faucet Seals

I have had issues with 3rd party seals. The OEM Delta parts in this kit always work. If you have hard water, you may also need to replace the ball, which this kit does not contain. In any case, clean the ball with a soft cloth and remove any scale. I work with valves and it does not take much foreign material or roughness to cause a leak. It would be helpful if the kit also included the red/blue setscrew cap, which will break when you remove it.

the hardware kit can resolve the simplest faucet drips. The instructions are not helpful, however if you carefully remove the old components and look at how they were used in the system you can be successful. remember the the wide end of the spring is inserted first! if you don't insert the spring correctly the rubber gasket will not seat correctly and the faucet will continue to DRIP!
