Mostly good system. Pretty happy.

Good system. Easy to install. We enjoy the wide view. Can see a lot more than expected. Only issue is that we get alerts that they are picking up human body but when you look, it's nothing. We tried turning sensitivity down but it didn't help. So we get a lot of notifications for nothing. And it's the same spot over and over. Maybe it's a ghost? Lol otherwise we are happy with it all.

Dependable system

This product is an improvement over my first defender system. Easy to install, and easy to view on my smart phone.

Quality Cameras, Quality Support, Questionable DVR

This is actually an upgrade for me so I think I would appreciate this more, but I definitely love the wired cameras better. The quality in video is also a noticeable improvement and now that I can monitor from the DVR and not from the app, it’s more streamlined and not put together clunky to get the outcome I wanted which I now have. just an avearge..

I did not know that it will need a screen to do all the configuration and settings. that is a drawback. Clarity of picture is not as per my expectations. It can't read the number on my car's number plate parked just in front of my driveway.

Picture quality is fantastic and the playback feature is great to have. Easy to get setup and started. Only issue is Human detection and Motion detection can be off sometimes with weather.

Great POE system

The Sentinel system is exactly what I have been looking for! We loved the easy set up with 1 cable for footage and power! We didn't have to worry about power adapters or power bars. The great 4k resolution with motion detection is awesome! I have 1 camera in the backyard to check what critters that may be running by after the winter thaw!

Good system, needs some upgrades

Have had the system for a month or so and has done a good job recording. It is supposed to have sound, but I have not been able to hear any on video playback (may have missed a setting tho) Perfect for my outbuildings.

Great quality system!

The video quality on this system is outstanding. The NVR records without fail. Easy setup. Highly customizable settings if interested. The App also works great and playback is not an issue. My only negative comment is that I get many false motion readings, but it does capture all the real ones too so you are not missing anything. Top of the market

This is my second set of defender cameras. My first set I got over 10 years ago and I was really pleased with them so I decided to upgrade and get the newest version. This 4K system is absolutely amazing. The quality of the photos, the video, and my favorite part of it all is the motion sensors that I get alerts for directly to my phone. I strongly recommend anyone in the market for a great security camera system defender is the one.

Great Security Camera with great features

This is a great security camera with great features. The hardware is pretty good and easy to connect. The setting up the devices app is very smooth. The instructions are pretty accurate. The features of camera like setting up the color of the video recording and images is outstanding. Motion detection and night vision which are the main best features of the security camera is excellent. The only downside of this, is that this is wired camera therefore installing this by yourself is not that easy...

Amazing Cameras + Sound + Wide Angle!!

The whole system comes well packaged in the box. Everything is nice, clean, and tidy which you'll see is carried on in the whole system and software. I have been using this sentinel camera set up for about a month now. The installation of the cameras was easy to do. It did take some time to hide all the wires, which is to be expected. Simple, good quality video system

The video quality on this system is great and setup is a breeze. Motion detection is somewhat hit-and-miss so as part of a security system you would still want more precise intrusion sensors, however, this works great to provide recordings of past/event activity for future reference.

Fantastic DIY NVR

My overall impression of the 8 Channel 4K Sentinel NVR is very good. The system came well packaged with each camera packaged in it's own box. It was a breeze to setup with the cameras truly being plug and play. The NVR and accompanying app were configured within 10 minutes of unboxing.
