What Customers Are Saying
The Moen cartridge puller is an effective tool for removing stuck or stubborn cartridges from faucets. Many users found it essential for completing their faucet repair projects, as it was able to extract cartridges that could not be removed with regular tools. The puller is described as easy to use and making the cartridge removal process much simpler and faster. However, a few users found the tool to be somewhat flimsy, especially for very stuck cartridges. Overall, the majority of users were highly satisfied with the performance of the tool.

Would RecommendIt made it possible to pull the cartridge out. It was stuck and wasn’t coming out. Using this product did its job. A lot better then breaking the solder joints and having to open up the wall to fix. 👍
Horrible unusable tool and no instructions.
Did not work at all on pulling the cartridge from the faucet. Horrible. Also no instructions came with this product even though it said there were some inside.
A must have to pull out old cartridges
This tool Deff helps remove and replace cartilage.
I do not like it
Would Not RecommendCheaply build
Good for home owner, NOT for Professional use.
Would RecommendThis puller is very light weight. It is not for repeated use. Great for home owner. I am a professional Handyman and use this style of puller a great deal. This tool is NOT PROFESSIONAL QUALITY for repetitive use.
Use this!!
Would RecommendI think it’s important to use this when removing a cartridge!
Needed for Moen. Keep it in your toolbox.
Would RecommendLifesaver. There was no way I was ever going to get the old crusty cartridge out without this tool!

Would RecommendAffordable tool, does exactly what it’s supposed to do
Helped Enough So I Could Pull with Wrench
Would RecommendThe Danco Core Puller for Moen pulled the Moen 1222 cartridge out about an inch from the brass valve fitting. At that point, it seemed to be at the end of its threads and the the large nut would not turn anymore. Fortunately, that was just enough cartridge for me to grab with my plumber's wrench. I alternatively sprayed CLR, lubricants, and then pulled with the plumber's wrench. I did this this for 2.5 hours. When I finally got the cartridge out, the rubber gaskets on the sides of the cartr...
It worked so they get 5 stars
Would RecommendThis tool worked which is great. However, this tool is probably not the tool you want if your are a professional plumber. But it worked and the price was right for the 1 time use i needed it for.
Broke my cartridge
Would Not RecommendUsed it exactly as stated in the instructions and my cartridge still broke inside the valve. Took me 3 hours to get the hard plastic out of the valve.
3 for quality, yet 5 for usefulness
Would Recommendlike another user mentions, the thing is poorly made... someone thought that aluminum would be a smart choice but lo and behold: the tabs are too thin and will bend on first use. Screw is way too short too, but thanks to the other reviewer, I was prepared with a 7/8 boxed wrench which added 3/8-in to the thing so I was able to fully remove the stem. Since this was for my daughter's house, pretty much one-time-use, I am not super mad: I consider the price to be fair for something that would be pr...
