Take c-clip out of magnetic bit holder or they will get stuck.

As an almost 68 year old female, I found my calling after I retired. I love DIY & own several Dewalt tools. What really drew me to this set was the assortment of bits & the set up in the storage box. There's a built-in container that snaps into the lid where you can put loose bits. We all know how annoying it is to open a case & the loose pieces fall out. I usually need the same size bits over & over so this suits me fine. I feel like I'll always find the one I need.

Poor QC

I bought this item and it was poorly manufactured. I returned it for another one and same problem, bits don’t fit in magnet and when forced in can’t get out.

Used bit extender and could not get bit back out, an associate told me it was not the first time and was a known defect. Returned for another set, and had the same problem. Returned product

Garbage!

Just called dewalt about this problem. Had the bit in the magnetic holder. Couldn’t get it out. Snapped it off trying to get it out. Dewalt doesn’t care and will Not send me a new magnetic holder. Never buy from them again!

Bit got stuck in the extender

Like the other reviews said, a bit got stuck in the extender. Couldn't get it out with pliers. It ended up snapping the bit in two.

all good EXCEPT magnetic bit holder.

Don’t use the magnetic bit holder. Its nearly impossible to get the bit back off and very frustrating to deal with. Tip: i was able to remove the bit by using a pair of pliers to hold the magnetic bit with one hand, and with your other hand, use a hammer to pry the bit out like you would to remove a nail from the wall (be careful, I still had to use a lot of force). All other pieces are good. If you buy this i suggest the first thing you do after opening is throw away the magnetic big holder.

Not usable.

Magnetic bit holder retains bits with such force that even two people pulling with pliers can't get a bit back out.

He should have read the other reviews.

Bringing it back tomorrow. Although this is a great looking set the extension is defective. Once you put a bit in, it won’t come out. My husband should have read the reviews first.

I bought 3 of these at black Friday prices. the driver bit in all 3 doesn't fit the bits

Can't Remove Bit

So the fact that it is essentially impossible to remove the bit is actually a feature, not a defect. Most of the negative reviews are because dewalt over-engineered the spring clip in one of the bit holders. It is very stiff and yes you do need pliers to get the bits out but that is the intent. You can always pry the clip out with a pick...

disappointed

Bits will not fit into holder. I got 1 in and it wouldn't come out. I am a dewalt user so I was very disappointed in this set. I have another set with the same problem.
