DAP knockdown texture

I kept clogging after shaking for several minutes. I covered a small section of wall, but instead of spray pattern just solid stream then clog

3 cans covered 10sq ft

We bought 3 cans it said each can covers 120sq ft. Followed the directions, first can never solidified to use, second can was ok, but it solidified in can and wouldn’t spray after 3 min of spraying, went on very uneven, was all over the walls and us. 3rd can just never sprayed anything out. SUPER FRUSTRATING!!! Worst product we bought. Had to scrape it all off and redo the plaster to make the ceiling work out.

It drips and flings everywhere but that’s how it is supposed to go on the wall. You have to constantly move the can. It’s definitely an art.

Crap in a can

Just hit yourself on the head with a hammer to save time and money. This crap is a complete headache. The can is awful.

purchased not as easy as they say

i purchased this product because i as very new to wall texture and it wasnt as easy as they make it out to be as well as you might as well use the whole can because even if you do like the video say turning it upside down and spray my can still wouldn't work for round two

Dap is Crap | Total Mess

I tried to use this Oil Based Damp Texture and it literally went everywhere. 5 minutes of "Texturing" ended in 3 hours of clean up. Never use the Oil Based Version better yet use the Homex Water Based Version as it sprayed better, easier to control, and simple cleanup. Damp recreated what happens after a evening at Taco Bell!

29.00 rip-off

Does not spray, just drips out of the nozzle with half the can on the floor. Worthless!

Awful

I purchased and returned 3 cans. I bought one and it worked for about 2-3 seconds and I let off of the trigger. It never sprayed again. Rinse and repeat 3 times total. The only reason I tried 3 is because I'm at Lowe's almost daily so it was easy to return and grab another can.

Canned Ceiling Texture Sprays Don’t Work

Ceiling texture sprays just don’t work as described, despite the effort and expense the consuming public places into these products. Same dismal experiences with both DAP and Homax products: nozzles get clogged way too quickly, 50-60% of the texture ends up on the floor, spray adjuster ceases to work and the can pressure runs out before the contents have been ejected and used. Product should be pulled from the market for ceiling use. And in fairness to the makers, does work well on walls.

Great product for small patching job.

Easy to use, and great coverage.

Trial and Error

Easy to use application container. But not good for small patching projects cause the spray pattern is too much for the job.

Good for both Ceiling and Wall

The orange peel texture did great for both a place where I replaced popcorn ceiling and a patch I needed to do on the wall!
