Not Really Practical for Wall Repair

Product has viscosity of standard joint compound, but not the adhesion to vertical surfaces. If applied with anything but a skim coat it "sags" off the wall. Another drawback is it is not sandable, so unless you have a perfect coating the patch will show. Other products do not have these problems.

Good product but not for the job I was doing

Seems like a high quality product. It has a very rubber-like texture which I wasn't expecting. I was using it to patch cement. It does work well and is paintable so it worked out fine.

Does what it says

Works well, but you must read the label and take it seriously that the compound must be tooled smooth before drying. You really can't sand out a mistake later. But it works well, and once dry, it can be rained on before priming without harm.

Difficult to work with.

Had reoccurring cracks in an outdoor patio ceiling. Seemed like this would give a little flex to the outdoor joints between drywall. I believe this will work well in certain applications. I would use this on hairline cracks, up to maybe 1/4" MAX. It shrinks like crazy, starts to dry pretty quick and will not lay flat once it starts to dry (Think drying caulking). Covers Cracks and Keeps them Covered

Very pleased with this product and its capacity to prevent cracks from reappearing, a constant problem with stucco and many other products. Thank you Elasto-Patch for reducing the constant repair.

Not sandable

This stuff is awful. I'm good at mudding but chose this because it is more durable and I had some corners and holes to patch. This stuff is thick and when it dries you can't sand it so you better put in on perfectly. I ended up with a bigger patch job after finally getting it off and going with normal drywall mud. Never again.

First time using but won't be the last.

Wow! ElastoPatch is magnificent! I used it to take care of multiple problems and the finished product made me look like a professional did the job. It was easy to use and didn't make a mess at all! Will be using EP anytime I have holes to fill on my walls.

Put on smooth because there's no sanding

Product goes on well but you have to make sure it's smooth because you can't sand it. Goes on and dries a light gray. I painted the walls a lighter gray but it covered well. Used on older house with plaster walls.

They Changed the Name of the Product

The paste is easy to spread, I used a large 'bondo' spreader to smooth out a rough wall and fill several large divots. The product does not harden in the large recesses so i'm thinking shallow layering would be better. I went to Lowes to buy another tub and they changed the names on products so I'm hoping the tub I bought is the same stuff.

This product is NOT SANDABLE!! Read the label!

For those people who failed English, it may prove a bit too daunting to follow instructions. The first review gave only 4 stars, BUT the product clearly states on the jar, NOT SANDABLE! Don't ping a review because you don't take time to read a label. I have drywall cracks that are a nuisance, this should prove very helpful.

Put on dry wall, its hard to sand down but covers well

Great at filling in but should have large letters saying, "Not Sand-able!"

Works as described

Reading the directions is really important. Them making sure to not have any excess material. I did these and ended up with smooth edges. It did need two coats to fill the crack properly.

Very Misleading Placement and Label

Read reviews all over the web and you'll see that people mistake this non-sandable product for normal patching compound frequently. It doesn't help that the front of the tub says nothing about not being able to sand the product, nor does it help that Lowe's sells it in the same spot that they sell all other drywall compounds and patch kits.
