It is effective, but doesn't feel like you're dousing yourself with chemicals. I used it in New Orleans, was outside all day. Reapplied once after a few hours.

Insect repellent does awesome job

Wonderful insect repellent. We went in vacation to the coast and visited an area which had a lot of insects and the product kept the bugs off of us.
