Stealth Toaster gives no hint that its done!
Would Not RecommendWe bought this model 3 years ago for our vacation home. Our chief complaint is that it is 'stealth', meaning that when it finished toasting the raising spring is so weak that it is absolutely silent, and does not raise the toast but ¼ inch. The unit is nearly impossible to disassemble for repairs (experienced DIY'er)

Would RecommendThis toaster does its job fairly well. While all sections of the wires of the heating elements do eventually glow, some sections glow brighter than others throughout the toasting time. In spite of this browning is relatively even, although the areas closest to the more convex, thus prominent, sections of the heating elements toast darker. So-called user's manual lacking basic info!!
90% of the complaints and negative reviews about things only getting toasted on one side could be avoided if the instructions clarified that this model HAS A TOAST ON ONLY ONE SIDE OF YOUR BREAD FEATURE!! that is what the little toast-shaped icon with a "1" inside it on the top of the toaster in front of the right hand slot stands for. It is not shown or mentioned in the 2 page manual. Other than that, this works pretty well, especially for the price.
