Would RecommendI like the beaters with no center post. The mixer is easy to maneuver and is light enough that my arms don't get tired. It plowed through some dense cookie dough easily. When I switch it on, it takes a second to respond, but I've gotten used to this just fine. I really like that when it starts it starts slowly (unlike my old mixer that had only two speeds, no matter what I selected - fast and what a mess). I also like the swivel cord. So far, I'm totally satisfied.

Your hand mixer to love.
Would RecommendI like that it is balanced, don't have to struggle with the cord, and that it has a self-storage case.

Looks sleek and wonderful but has some problems
I am a huge fan of Cuisinart products. They are functional and long-lasting-- All in all, a very good buy. Plus, I love the "Cuisinart" look --stylish and modern. Also, the beater release lever is located right next to where the fingers go. I keep ejecting the beaters! Very frustrating. For these two reasons...

OK Mixer
This was a replacement for a 20+ yr old Cuisinart hand mixer that worked but was a bit tired so I have high expectations. Just used it for an easy cake mix and it worked fine, but was a bit noisy and it seems to start abruptly, rather than the gentle start of my older mixer so it scattered the dry mix all over. Hope it continues to work ok.

Great mixer
Would RecommendLove this mixer. Powerful. Easy to use and clean. The whipping attachment beats up the egg whites in no time.

Strong mixer works well for mixing sourdough bread
At our house, we almost always eat home made sourdough bread made with mostly whole wheat flour, often with a bit of white flour and other grains mixed in. So when my large mixer bit the dust, making bread became more difficult. First I shopped for a new large mixer. But as I noticed how nice it was to have more counter space without a great big heavy mixer sitting there, I looked at smaller, hand mixers. I needed one that had a powerful motor, but that would start slowly, so as not to shoot...
