Would Not RecommendThought this would stop after several uses. Hoping it would "burn-off" or quit. The toaster emits a electric-type burning smell similar to burning plastic. After months of use, this odor continues each time the toaster is used.

It’s a decent toaster, nothing special. The stainless steel gets a zillion finger prints on it but I keep it in a cabinet so that’s ok.

Does everything really well
Would RecommendControls are simple & intuitive. Wide range of doneness settings. Toasts evenly. Pull up on handle to help remove toast. What else could you ask for? Some users say that the "finished" sound is a little loud, but it doesn't bother us.

Won't toast!
Would Not RecommendDoesn't toast! Even on the highest setting (7), it will not fully toast a frozen piece of bread or bagel. I have tried with and without pushing the defrost button. I always have to push it down a second time to get the bread suitably toasted. This is the first toaster I've had that won't fully toast in one pass.

The power cord for the Cuisinart 2 Slice Metal Toaster seems excessively stiff and is impossible to stow on the underside of the toaster to facilitate putting it away. Also, the toast is not equally browned on both sides on the standard bread setting.
