What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this drain cleaning tool for its exceptional effectiveness at removing hair and gunk without harsh chemicals. Most describe dramatic results—pulling out massive clumps that had caused slow draining for months—with drains flowing "like new" after a single use. Reviewers consistently highlight its simplicity and affordability compared to plumber visits or chemical cleaners, calling it an essential household item. A small number report limited effectiveness in complex drain bends or note durability concerns, but these are rare. Would RecommendI have rental properties and several years ago had a company come out for a draining issue. Basically, they used a hand auger/snake and charged 179.00 dollars by the book. They also had to break on of the metal crosses in the drain to get the tip of the auger down the drain. This product is like the post-it note. It is so simple, but works. I have tried coat hangers, but they don't flex well. I clear my clogs in minutes. Just recently, I had a screw in shower stop that I couldn't get out and bec...
very helpful
Would RecommendI bought this because my bathroom drains were clogged with my hair. This product worked great!
Plastic Drain Stick
Would RecommendUse to clean A/C line. Good for cleaning inside a/c drain line.
It is only useful if you remove the mechanical pop up drain plug, otherwise it gets hung up in the mechanicals
Best little tool
Would RecommendI was really surprised with it there was so much hair that had built up in the shower drain and this wand pulled it all out I am impressed with it. The plastic drain stick did the job!
This thing ROCKS!
Would RecommendIts super easy to use and makes quick work of clearing hair from the drain.
Inexpensive solution to a slow drain
Would RecommendI like to use this with baking soda and vinegar. First, I use the drain stick to pull up all the muck , and hair. Then I flush the drain with warm tap water. Add some baking soda and vinegar. it creates a chemical reaction in the sink. It is a much more natural way to treat your pipes. Then you don’t have to worry about damaging your pipes with harsh chemicals. Furthermore, you do have to think about the chemicals you are putting into the water supply.
Use with patience
Would RecommendDon't use it if you're in a hurry. The little spines that do the job can make it a little challenging to remove from the drain. Very happy with product overall.
Best thing to clear the drain
Would RecommendI had a slow drain in my basement bathtub for years. I have tried every form of Drain-O with no success. This cleared it up in minutes. I'll be using this for future clogs.
BEST low cost purchase EVER!
Would RecommendThis low cost tool turned out to be one of the most effective purchases I've made in a long time! Not only did it do the job, but the clean-up was much easier since it is not a brush that similar products may have.
Cobra Zip-it tool
Would RecommendThis is a reasonably priced tool that gets the job done. In my case (cleaning a bathroom sink drain), I had to remove the sink stopper to effectively use the tool - otherwise it would catch on the the stopper and be difficult to remove. This tool is particularly handy because without it, you would need to remove the drain plumbing for cleaning - and that can be a mess, not to mention possible leaks after reassembly of the plumbing.
Works
Would RecommendI used a similar product that came with a bottle of drain opener which would break after a couple of uses. I was going to purchase the drain opener just to get another one but they were no longer available. Walking down another isle I spot these on display. Just what I was looking for! This is heavy duty, longer, and is perfect for getting the wife's hair out of the bathtub drain. Very inexpensive as well. Only complaint is maybe they could put a T handle on it instead.
Better than chemicals and practically free
Would RecommendIf you have a bathroom sink drain clogged with hair, don't pour toxic chemicals down the drain to dissolve the hair. Just use this brilliantly simple plastic stick. Insert it into the drain and pull it back out - the sharp spikes pick up hair and other gunk on the way out. You may need to do it several times to clear everything out, but the whole process took me less than 5 minutes, and the best part is it cost under 3 dollars and required no nasty chemicals. (OK, they used petrochemicals to man...
excellent value
Would RecommendMy shower drain was not responding to the liquid drain cleaners, so I was looking for an alternative. When I saw this at Lowe's, and saw the very reasonable price, I thought it would be worth a try. It was money very well spent. It cleared the drain of a ton of stuff that the liquid drain cleaners left behind. It was really easy to use, and appeared to be very effective. I've only used it once, so cannot speak to it's longevity, but would highly recommend it.
Drain Stick
Would Not RecommendWhat can I say, you stick it in the hole and it pulls out chewbacca just like it should. Works great!
