Amazing!

This is a truly versatile flashlight. It is small enough to keep in your pocket comfortably, yet bright enough to use anywhere you need a light. The belt clip also doubles as a hat clip making it a headlamp also. I use this flashlight everyday and carry it everywhere i go.

really bright, sturdy & rechargable!

Bought this flash light a few months ago, super bright but the on/off button didn't work properly. I contacted Coast & they were FANTASTIC! Super easy replacement (lifetime warranty) & quick communication, will continue to buy their products just because of their great communication! Only complaint would be that the USB is connected directly to the light instead of a cord which could create better flexibility for charging situations.

Well designed and built

I got my first Coast flashlight as part of my Cairn subscription. I bought a second one because I lost my first one and it is a great light. I've been using this light daily for months now and it's never let me down. It's bright, easy to carry and the switch is well placed. I appreciate the clip, that's a great feature.

Love this light

Bought it because the warranty first, price second and slide focus 3rd. Got it for a tactical light and so far ive shot 300+ rnds of 5.56 and works flawlessly still! The beam is crazy bright and the flood will light your entire room for a SDW. Highly recommend this light!

Great Product, Great Customer Service

I contacted Coast regarding a replacement part on my flashlight. They replaced the entire light under warranty with no questions asked, and as a pleaseant surprise, added a knife to the shopping box! I do love the light and that I can recharge it after using it. It is plenty bright for inspection purposes, and withstood a few falls from ladders without issues.

Awesome light awesome customer service

Wasn't very happy with my first one. My second one is a warranty replacement and it works perfectly. The switch had gone out on the first one and it was only a few months old and I was working intermittently, customer service was more than happy to take care of it and the replacement has worked perfectly sense. Two thumbs up for customer service on a speedy delivery. Highly recommend crazy stupid bright

Small package high output

I bought this flashlight about a year ago it is extremely compact for its output of 340 lumens and long runtime. I had to submit a warranty claim and their customer service was great. All I had to do was send in a picture of the product and fill out some shipping info then they sent me a new one! I love my coast hx5r and I will never settle for anything less!

Piece of junk

I received this flashlight as part of a subscription box and charged it overnight. It won't turn on and batteries don't fit. I literally don't know why they made this product. It's junk .

HX5R BEST POCKET LIGHT

The greatest light I've ever owned, I own 5 but gave 2,away as gifts! Lasts forever on a good alkaline, ALWAYS in my pocket for EDC... I definitely recommend this light for your pocket. And with nicad battery, you get twice the lumens....i love this light!

Very bright

Very bright. I like the ability to rdeuce the brightness to a reduced level. Cant say the strobe is the useful to me. The USB charging works well and is fast enough.

Failed on first Charge

Received this light and thought it was build well however I started to charge it and immediately noticing it was heating up pretty quickly. Took it off the charger and the battery had melted. (Used the included cable injunction with a basic iPhone charger) Website doesn’t offer much information beyond the basic specifications. No instructions, no FAQ section, no downloadable manuals.

Could be amazing but it's ok.

Its a very good flashlight I love it. The charge lasts enough, is not super big or heavy but has plenty off power. The only thing will keep me from getting a second one and going for a different brand is the clip. Amazing idea but does not stays in the flashlight. I have 3 of this flashlight and none has the clip.
