All brands of stabilizer takes time disolve

Clorox brand is just as good or better than other brands. No stabilizer dissolves quickly but I find it best to put it in a bucket of water and let it sit a bit. Pour directly into skimmer it dissolves a lot quicker then pouring it directly into the deep end of pool. I now buy Chlorox pool chemicals and are very pleased with them.

Make sure you keep your pool pump running

This did not increase the cyanuric acid level in my pool as I had expected.

Difficult to dissolve

Does not dissolve easily, I even tried the sock method and I’m on the 3 day and only about 1/2 has dissolved.

Worked for me

Instead of using a sock, I used a zippered laundry bag (used for lingerie), tied off side of pool, and let sit in front of jets for 20 minutes and squeezed. Worked beautifully!

Choose a different CYA/chlorine stabilizer

This is our first year with a pool. It's an above ground inflatable/temporary, less than 4,000 gallons. Lowe's is super close so we tend to purchase our items there and this was the only CYA they had in store. I'm a math geek so have no problem figuring out how much is needed.
