Inconsistent results from Sam strip

This product is a scam. I get different results using 3 way test kit. The same strip retested within 5 minutes gave polar opposite results.

Not for a spa

I bought these off a recommendation from a friend, but ran into the same complaint as others. It won’t let me use the app without setting up all of my personal info (no thanks) and entering a pool size. Spa isn’t an option. Too bad. I really liked the idea, the colors all look too similar to my eyes. — rating is for the app, not the strips themselves.

Hard No

Cannot download App since there is no app to download on play store. And even if I could, I can't open the darn container! Tried everything. Pliers, multiple people. No go and very frustrating. Guess it doesn't matter if I can download the app or not! And, chose this product because it was Clorox. We'll look at a different brand. And will be returning today.

great product

I have used your test strips for years and they work great. I've never downloaded the app, I just compare the strip to the side of the bottle after all, its not rocket science. You people surely understands once you put the strip in the water its wet no matter how deep you push it!! I use an open top bottle, turn it upside down and push it elbow deep. Then I turn it over collecting water at elbow depth. Then I place the strip into the bottle for my reading.

Can't read the strip

I can't download the app because it says it's to old and my device is to new.

Salt pool

I like the idea of using the strips and then get the reading on my phone so I can treat my pool.

App No Longer Recognizes Strips

These strips worked decently well over the last two seasons, but no longer works now. The app keeps popping an error to take a new photo. I have a couple of boxes of overpriced test strips now.

No App

I wish I had known this pool app was only for old phones. What good are test strips without knowing the solution. Next time I will buy a system that works without the guessing because these chemicals are dangerous.

Doesn't Work

Cannot use product because the android version is for older phones. How am I supposed to use test strips? Seemed like a great system but useless for me. Sad face! 😞

pH reading always inconsistent

These strips are pretty good for the most part. The pH reading seems to always read @ 6.8, so I used my HTH pool test kit and it then reads my pH @ 7.2 so that’s the one I go with. All other readings have been accurate and consistent.

App Doesn't Work

Clorox hasn't even updated their app to work on newer Android phones. When the appeal of the product is the utilization of the strips with the app, it isn't very useful without the app one would think. Ridiculous.

App is not available

I bought these because I believed that the app would have been very nice, I had used it years ago. However the app is no longer available, apparently because the app was never updated for newer versions of phones. You would think a company like Clorox would be on top of this

Can’t use the app with spa

I bought these because I thought it would be easy because of the app but since you can’t enter anything under 1000 gallons, I can’t use it. I will be bringing these back.

Overall, good product

I have found this product to be very useful for Color-Blind people like myself. I can't manually read the various color differences. The app makes it easy-peasy. I do find a slight variation in the reading depending on the length of exposure time. 15 seconds may not be long enough to get an accurate reading so I generally check it at about 15 sec. and again at about 30-45 sec.

Great Idea, Needs Improvement

I love the idea of using a smartphone to scan a test strip, and I would be happy to spend a little more on a specific strip. However, in my case it doesn't work. Like others have reported, the strips don't actually scan. They are either "overexposed" or "blurry." So, I end up manually entering the data.

App is a no go

First, App is dependent on you making an account, no sandbox mode. Second, forget it if you have a spa, it won’t take anything under 1000 gal. Useless. Third, Strips are good for a quick check, but not as reliable as a reagent test.
