Works ok on easy jobs
Would RecommendCitristrip is a decent product for small and easy jobs with 5 or fewer layers of paint. You have to put it on THICK, leave it on overnight, and cover it with plastic wrap. Don't let it dry out. Then spend the rest of your life scraping it off and wiping it down with mineral spirits. You can do it twice to get down to bottom layers, HOWEVER if you leave it on more than an hour or so the second time you could end up raising the grain of the wood! So user beware.

It is a harsh chemical and has nothing to do with citrus except and added smell that faintly resembles oranges. Didn't work well. I was trying to strip paint off old barstools.
