Manual doesn't show us on how to set MULTIPLE PINs

Right here on this product page, it says it can store 4 PINs. Yet in the manual, it doesn't say anything about that. I will say, I love that I can always hit enter to CLOSE the door. (My old unit required a PIN even for a close). That's really handy.

I bought the 877 Max several months back to replace an old Lift Master remote that operated only one of my 3 garage doors. The 877Max model fit almost exactly where my old remote was- nearly same dimensions. I think I had to drill one new hole. Programming was similar to the old one except I could code for 3 doors which was awesome. Had my doubts after reading some reviews but it was easy, hitch-free. Being able to open-close any, or all garage doors while outside the garage has been really nice...

It worked on old unit

My outdoor remote had broken a long time ago and I had lost hope. When I got a minor repair done on my vintage 2005 unit the repairman directed me to the website. He said it was a pretty easy process and who believes it - he was right. I followed the instructions and everything works great.

I’ve been having problems with unit on and off. Sometimes it works; sometimes it doesn't; you can't ever be sure. Keys do not respond when pressed, especially in cold weather. It's frustrating. Make sure that you have another means to get inside your house because this unit cannot be trusted.

Very Unreliable

Would Not Recommend

Had problems with the 877MAX keypad since it was first install. Loses with the opener and keeps needing to be reprogrammed. Also have many phantom openings with the 888LM wall keypad that I think are also connected to this 877MAX. Liftmaster came out with these a few years ago without real testing and pretty much left customer high and dry with door opening on there own and blaming the customer for there lack of testing. THe 888LM has now been recall and this 877MAX also has issues.

Random open and close of garage door

Would Not Recommend

I installed a new garage door with 877MAX remote opener installed. It seemed to work well for a few weeks. Then the door began randomly opening and closing on its own. Since I had car remotes and a smart remote also installed as part of the system I disabled the remotes one at a time to identify the culprit. It turned out the random opening and closing stopped when I pulled the battery from the 877MAX unit. I can't depend on this unit, so it remains inoperable.

Remote buttons failing, less than a year old.

We’ve only had this unit for less than a year. We have a three car garage. We had the garage door openers replaced last October. Just wanted an upgrade to the WiFi for security purposes. Kids tended to leave the garage door open. So we wanted to have a “connected” unit to alert us. Everything works great except the keypad. Our kids use it more often than not as they return to the house from riding their bikes, skateboards etc. Then the code stopped working, for both doors. We have reset the unit...

Just had this wireless remote installed today and so far so good. However, after reading some of these reviews, I'm afraid to rely on it. What happens if I solely am depending on this to open without my house keys or any other way to get in? I live solo and away from family and no one else has access to my home. Great opener. Horrible directions that come with it. Google 877max and watch the 55 second video. Press your learn button, press your code and enter then 0. Done. Don't press and hold the star and pound key mumbo jumbo.
