Would RecommendFollowed directions to link the remote EXACTLY as written, several times. The remote never linked to the garage door opener.

I wanted to replace a garage door opener for one that was lost. My eyesight isn’t the best and while I was in the store I didn’t see that the package was opened and closed again with tape! The small bumps the hold the visor clip to the rear of the device were barely there and the clip will not stay put. I went ahead and programmed the #1 button but it would not work. I went ahead a programmed the #2 button and it did work.
