What Customers Are Saying
The firewood is generally of good quality and burns well, though there is some variability in the moisture content and burn time. The majority of customers report that the firewood lights easily, burns hot and long, and is suitable for use in fireplaces, fire pits, and campfires. However, some customers received wet or moldy wood that was difficult to light and burned poorly. The wood also seems to burn through quickly, with some customers noting they went through an entire bundle in just a few hours.

I heat my entire 2 story house with my wood stove only with the exception of a space heater in the bathroom to shower in the morning. I typically get a dump truck load of wood in the fall that will last me through the winter but frequently I’ll stop and pick up a bundle or two of this wood to get the fire going. Lights easy with Zip starters. Burns nice and hot (almost too hot for my stove) but I had my chimney sweep come out this year to clean my pipes and he said there is no need even a...
Perfect
Would RecommendBought a couple of these to use at camp. They burned perfectly had no problem getting them to light up. Would recommend these to anyone looking for firewood when supply is low.

Keith
Would RecommendEasy to lite and burned clean, hardly any smoke.
Decieving
Would Not RecommendPrice online says 5.98 but at store it's 7.48. Kiln dried? Hardly. I use it to start fire in my coal stove.Hardly burns through. By this time next year my wood should be properly seasoned and no more throwing away money at Lowes for crap wood.
Variable moisture content
Bought 4 packages. Some pieces still hiss due to moisture content. Low BTU output and hard to light. Would not purchase again.

Doesn’t burn
Would Not RecommendThis wood can’t be kiln dried, because some prices had moss growing on the bark. The wood looked like it was recently split. I could not get this wood to stay lit, I even held a blow torch to it for 10 minutes. I went though almost a ream of paper trying to get this garbage wood to stay lit. What a disappointment. I returned the rest of it to the store and the customer service rep was rude to me, and questioned my fire starting ability. I will never buy firewood from Lowe’s again in my life!
