New Weed Eater Purchase.

We bought a new home that needed some serious yard work. This weed eater has remarkable features for its price. Self feeding line, easy change spools, and put together with no tools. It took on an out of control back yard and was able to trim the driveway and sidewalks that haven’t been done in some time. It’s light weight and powerful, so another good product from Craftsman.

Just got it, but I love it so far. much more powerful than my old Craftsman Weed Wacker. great edger, too.

Powerful for battery powered.

Decently powerful for battery powered. Using the batteries that are interchangable between other Craftsman tools is very convenient.

Excellent Value

It was an excellent value. The automatic line trimmer.

Not happy with this weedeater

This says $119 here. When I got out of the store this weekender cost me $175. I figured for that price the line feed would've been corrected. It looks as though Craftsman is making the same mistakes Black and Decker made. Can't anyone make an electric line feeder that works? Craftsman could easily correct this by bringing out a head with a line feed that works. I'd probably by that fix being that I'd like to keep this product but it doesn't as is.

It is battery powered which makes it much lighter and quieter than the gasoline motors. With a fully charged battery I average around one hour before needing recharged. It goes from trimming mode to edging mode with a simple press of the convert to edge button and the rotation of the motor housing which is simple to do. I enjoy weedwacking and love that ...

Excellent light-use weed eater

I bought this for my elderly mother who has a large yard to care for. It's light and battery operated so she should just be able to get it out and deal with her weeds and edges. But, I had to buy extra batteries which doubled the cost because the kit only comes with one battery and a charger. When using it, I found it weak-ish. It will work well though for general maintenance, but not for clearing old tall weeds.
