What Customers Are Saying
Customers praise this tool as a convenient, time-saving solution for light-duty angled cuts on thin materials like quarter round, shoe molding, PVC, and MDF trim. Many highlight its ease of use, precision angle guides, and appeal for DIYers avoiding larger equipment setup. However, a substantial portion report significant durability concerns, with blades bending or breaking after just a few uses. Several note the lack of replaceable blades compounds frustration. While most find it effective for occasional trimming tasks, blade reliability issues undermine confidence in long-term value.

Would Not RecommendI went through 2 pair in under 200 feet of 11/16 pine quarter round. 3 cuts in and they started to bevel, then i noticed a bend in the blade. They became unusable shortly after. Second set with the same results. This time i straightened them out with a hammer to finish the job, but they lost a chunk with a few cuts left to make. Side note, my 3/8 craftsman ratchet broke after maybe 10 uses. The lifetime waranty and exchange is easy, but the time wasted using craftsman products is not worth...
Works Great and Super Easy
Would RecommendWorks as advertised. Used on shoe mounding for kitchen and bathrooms. Cuts like butter, needs a little pressure but works great for what I need!
Wouldn’t recommend
Would Not RecommendBought for trimming shoe moulding and it didn’t work
Buy now.
Would RecommendI’m happy I made the decision to buy these snips. They can in very handy for trimming peel and stick tile.
More suitable for those with hand grip strength
Would Not RecommendI bought the Craftsman miter snips to cut through shoe moulding. For me, these were not very effective for that purpose for two reasons. First, I don’t have very strong hands or arms. Second, the snips could have been sharper. I found it very challenging to make a few cuts. My hands become tired and sore quickly. This product will be better suited for someone who has great hand grip strength.
Buy if you like buying things twice
Would Not RecommendUsed strictly for pine trim, none thicker than 11/16 (within device limit) but it often failed to cut straight. Worse is that after two days of use, the center of blade developed a dent making it unusable for matching edges. Purchased this at Lowe’s because it was the only one they had in stock. Now I have to purchase another

Stick to the saw
Would Not RecommendWill be returning. Might be good for pvc but no good for mdf. Trim slides so the miters are way open and blade does not open wide enough to cut 3/4 round from the back side.
Didn’t work for me.
Would Not RecommendDoesn’t open wide enough to cut shoe molding while using the 45* guide. Certainly not made for standard shoe molding.
