Stunning floor, disappointing Lowes experience

I had this flooring professionally installed (September 2021), and it is absolutely STUNNING! It looks wonderful and completely transformed my living room. That said, I will NEVER make another large purchase from Lowes again. I was given a total price that was supposed to cover everything - all flooring, transitions, 1/4 round, and installation. Looks great.

Looks great. Easy to install, but hard to keep straight due to ridged need to only start in one location of floor which is not always possible. Bamboo flooring better.

Mixed thoughts

We bought a large amount of this product to cover approx 900+ square feet and here are my thoughts after installing about 400 square feet of it: 1) We already know it isn't wise to buy a product you can't look at, but we do it anyway. I was deeply disappointed in the color/pattern of the product I purchased -- Saddlewood -- but I think I would have been content with a different pattern/color. Get the cork backed vetsion

We loved the look, feel, and ease of installation of our last Cali Bamboo flooring with cork backing. That time and this we used 1/4” cork underlayment over existing flooring. These rubber-backed planks are thinner, including the interlocking joints, making them weaker - prone to both breaking apart previously joined planks and chipping the fragile joints themselves. Beautiful floor

I really love the color and texture of this floor, in 3 years it’s held up well, in high traffic areas I have experienced a small split, but I still love these floors

Not that easy to install. You need to glue and tack, not float.

Looks great

Great product, the only thing is that this was placed over old terracotta tile and now when you walk on it , it makes a clacking sound which really bothers me. This may not have to do with the product but the installer who claimed you do not need padding with this flooring because it is already built into it. I don't know much about flooring but it would be nice to step on it and not have it clack against the terracotta. Otherwise the flooring is really nice, color looks great. I am not sure ...

Just a heads up…

We used Cali Bamboo flooring on the main floor of our house and loved it, which is why we decided to try their LVP for a bathroom reno. We ordered the Aged Hickory and was disappointed upon delivery. The color is no where near the same as what it looks like on Lowe’s website, which I understand. The color was much more grey than blonde like in the pictures.
