Great thought and idea. Great to give the kids a craft to work on ......but it takes all of five minutes to put together. There are only 5 steps to do. The saving grace is having my daughter paint it which increased the length of the craft.

Cool birdhouse, but no entry.

This birdhouse came without an opening on the front for birds to enter. So without the use of a large drill bit and a drill, this bird house went from moderately useless to completely useless. This was a gift from grandparents, luckily for my 4-year-old, I have a shop full of tools. We will make a real birdhouse together on our own in the future.

Bird House

Not a bad product. Make certain you lay out all the parts before assembly. Line up the pre-drilled holes FIRST and make sure you check them before hammering the nails. Once the nails are in, you will split the wood if you have to remove them. I had a drill handy to ensure the holes were drilled properly but did not have to use it. All in all, a good project.

Fun for Grandkids

This was a fun project that I did with my grandkids. Everything was precut and drilled. Directions were easy enough for them to follow (ages 7 and 8). Then they painted. I did have them use tite bond WII on joints besides the nay because they were going outside.

Bird house

Fun and easy to put together. I work with special needs Adults. They had a lot fun building the bird houses.

nice littel project

It is well done and my grandson will only needed a little help with building it.

Good product for children

My 6 yr. old grandson likes to work on wooden craft kits. We have made the Lowes pirate ship, air plane, car and now, several bird houses. Kits are pre-drilled and the directions have nice illustrations that allow him to work confidently, but not independently. He still needs adult supervision. As with most mass-produced kits, there is the occasional hole that needs re drilling, or the the chipped plywood piece. But with minimal adjustment, every kit has resulted in a workable model. Five Star Birdhouse

My three year old granddaughter enjoyed building this birdhouse with me. She cannot do this alone but I made her feel she was helping a lot.

Make it yourself birdhouse

Bought this for my grandson who just turned 6. He absolutely LOVED it! I bought him a small hammer, which is the only tool required to make the birdhouse, and he put it together in a fairly short amount of time with help from his 8 year old brother. This kit works great for small children who are just learning to use tools.

Fun to build; but the back is open

I built one of these each with my 5 year old and 7 year old sons. We had lots of fun, but we did need to pay careful attention to the predrilled holes, beyond what is outlined in the directions (the design is not quite idiot proof). Our package did not include any labels/stickers to customize (1 star deduction) and the back is open (this wasn't clear to us on the packaging; another deduction). Build and Grow Bird House

Overall a great product, my 4 year old son loved putting it together with his daddy. I would give a 5 star, but it does not stay on the window, and when its cold outside the moisture gets in the bird house. Would be better if there was a clear wall on the back side of the house (it doesn't come with it). We cut clear plastic bottle and attached to the back of the bird house.
