Most highlight ease of assembly, child-friendly design with pre-drilled holes, and the joy of shared creation across ages two to eight. Many appreciate decorative stickers and paint options that extend the creative experience. A small group notes durability concerns, reporting the wood warped or cracked after months of outdoor exposure, suggesting it works best for indoor display or short-term use. Fun project at a great price!
Would RecommendLoved completing this with our 3y.o., and it’s hanging out in the back yard as I write this!

Poor quality
Would Not RecommendThe price has gone up and the quality has gone down. The wood is now pressed wood instead of solid pieces causing it to split when nailed. Disappointed.
Great for scouting project
Would RecommendWe did these as a project in our girl scout troop, ages 6-8, and they absolutely loved it! All the pieces were safe and easy to handle. We worked together to hold pieces in place as they were nailed in but for the most part they worked independently and were very proud at the end.

Coordination and motor skills
Would RecommendDid this with my 8, 5 and 2 year old. They all have different kits and we all had fun making them. I was worried the nails wouldn’t align perfectly and that would be hard to help them fix, but it all went well. I recommend, good practice for them not to be scared with building stuff that needs a hammer.
Easy and Fun
Great fun to build it with your little one

Great kit easy to assemble BUT
Would Not RecommendEasy to assemble for my 4 year old! But it doesn’t last, cheap wood not meant to be outside and exposed to weather. It fell apart after being outside for a few month.
Project for Birdwatchers

Easy to build but doesn’t last
Would Not RecommendGot this for my son for Christmas and he loved it. Unfortunately it fell apart after about 2 months. The cheap plywood is not made to be out in the weather, ya know where bird feeders go. Now looking for a more durable cedar kit
