This printer is great, but supplies are very expensive. Even though I print 99% of the time in black & white, the color toners keep going down. Why? Taking the printer alone, this would be 5 stars. When you consider the total cost of ownership, it is just average.

My MFC L8900CDW replaced a 13-year-old 9840CDW
I have had wonderful success with Brother printers. I recently purchased a Brother MFC L8900CDW to replace a Brother MFC 9840CDW that I purchased in December 2010. The older printer kept chugging along, but I replaced it because the 9840's software no longer was compatible with Windows 11 and MacOS Sonoma 14.0. I was thrilled with the 9840's performance, and if the L8900CDW is as good, it probably will outlast me.

Always go Brother
AMAZING! Only complaint is the yellow lines on a very colorful picture but it might not even be the brother print causing the lines. Have had brother printers my whole career and they are pure quality. Wish I could give 5 stars, just not sure how to even get ahold of them like most other companies these days but want awesome get the Brother!!

I loved my previous MFC until lightning took it out after many years of reliable service. I replaced it the same day with a newer model. Love this one too!

Colour Problems
The colour is not good. We went through support for weeks straight. Brother also sent replacement toner which did not correct the issue.

Very happy with this printer, easy set up and it looks and works great. It's a bit big so be sure to measure out your space before purchasing. Overall, no concerns
