Great but: No hemmer foot? Guide incomplete?
I really love this thing. I adapted to the cabinet from the Singer 832K I was using. That thing was my mom's and I'm 74! Yet I gave this 4 stars and not 5 for 2 reasons: 1) There does appear to be a hemmer foot available for it. I asked on the site about the SA127 and the reply was no, that is not compatible. I then asked what was compatible and received no answer. Apparently the SA164 is not compatible either. Are there others? I can't find way to filter for hemmer feet on Brother web site. 2...

Terrible machine! CP100X
The top thread continuously gets tangled under the thread spool around the thread holder. This has been happening since day one of brand new machine. I’ve tried everything to rectify it and ended up purchasing a different sewing machine. I love other Brother sewing machines but don’t waste your money on this model! CP100X

Good for beginners, should last a while
I'm new to sewing and this machine seems easy to use. I like the automatic threader as that's something I've generally had challenges with in the past. There's a couple youtube videos on this machine and they were perfect to helping me figure out how to thread and get started with this machine. The machine itself seems reliable and I'm already using some of the custom stitching.
