We love our Brita filters but what can we do with all the used ones while waiting to be accepted into the Terracycling program?? There don’t seem to be any drop off locations around Pittsburgh. Are we supposed to dispose of them in the trash or what?? I have a growing collection and can’t keep them forever. Please advise.

Removes the Chlorine smell
Would RecommendOur tap water smells stronger than swimming pool water. It burns our eyes and noses. We can't use it to rinse when brushing our teeth or our throats get irritated. When I do laundry, my hall by the laundry room smells like bleach, even when no bleach is being used. The chlorine is that strong. So, I purchased a pitcher and filters. This filter works! Tastes good and clear
Would RecommendI started using Brita years ago when we had a long drought, and the water levels in the reserviours got so low that the tap water tasted off. I keep one next to my coffee maker, and one in the refrigerator. I avoid buying bottled water this way.

The water is more bitter or has some aftertaste that is not pleasant to my palette. Some people swear by the pitcher, but I haven't had that sort of luck.

Brita Water Filter
I have been a Brita pitcher user for well over 10 years and wouldn’t use anything else. Also my daughter and I lived together for a few years. The water in our state is awful so we didn’t want her puppy drinking that water either so I purchase another Brita xtra large dispenser.
