It removes the nasty stuff that makes the tap water taste bad and just makes it water as it should be. My only criticism is with the lid which is attached rather flimsily so that it comes off quite easily. When I'm filling the pitcher I have to take care to keep the lid attached.

I will have my water bottles and use my Brita to refill my bottles about 2-3 times then throw away (actually recycle) so it doesn't end up in the ocean and it pretty much pays for itself.

Tried 2 different standard filters and.........

Pricey but good

However, much pricier than the other same ones, just bigger. Unless you have a lot of people that need to drink from it at the same time, not really necessary

Good but could've been better
