Don't buy it

I have returned two of them and bought another brand. The fancy chuck won't hold the blades.

Very good tool

I have had for many years the 12 AMP corded Bosch saw. It was time to upgrade to the cordless model for more mobility. The power is excellent, close to the corded model. To those who complain of vibration, most sawzalls will generate vibration. They are rough demolition kind of a tool, not supposed to be very smooth on the hands. Bosch has a winner - powerful with two selectable speeds, and it cuts so well. Put a nice blade and you cut all day long.

Bosch sawzall

A solid tool. Works great. I've used it several times since I bought it. Batteries from my older Bosch drill work with this model.

Power

I actually now have the GSA18V-083, but previously had the model shown. I enjoy the new configuration and weight better in the new model and appreciate the fact that I didn't have to give up power or battery life in making the change.

Plenty of power

I have great experience with the Bosch 18V drill and driver. So when I need to buy a reciprocating saw, I went with a Bosch that uses the same batteries. My hitch mounted bike rack needs to be cut in order to remove the bolt from the broken insert. With a carbide tipped blade, I was able to cut the 3/8" thick rectangular steel tubing with out any issues. I have used the wood blade and cut branches easily too.

Works well

Great on remodel work. Cuts quickly and efficiently.

Wonderful saw

Well balanced & easy to use reciprocal saw that has plenty of power. I have used it for wood, metal and pruning with no problems. I use the slim batteries which does run low after about 45 minutes of pretty continuous use.

Best cordless reciprocating saw

I've had it for 2 years so far. I use it constantly from cutting 4x4s or even up in trees for trimming branches. It has taken multiple 15ft or more falls with no damage to saw. Best. Ever.

Love it!

I do handyman work and landscaping and I love Bosh tools. So this saw saw works with my batteries for my impact driver, drill driver, and regular drill. I can use the same batteries for all the tools. It's great. This saw saw is amazing for cutting branches and for all types of projects. Excellent

Purchased this knowing it doesn't have a battery or charger, I read the box which was more than I can say for the other reviewers. Have several 18v Bosch drills, impact drivers. Used to trip Palm Trees. Highly recommended product.

Blade is loose and moves vertically about 1/2"

I am updating my review. What I found was the lock chuck allows vertical movement of about 1/2" up and down. The distributor went to the shelf and tried several new in the box CRS180's they all presented the same blade loosness. I think this loosness causes excessivive vibration which requires tighter gripping to keep the saw in control. Outstanding product

This is a fantastic saws all cuts all different types of material.

Great saw, easy Battery and Blade change.

I like the fact that my Bosch Drill/Driver batteries interchange with the Recipricating saw. The saw blades are easy and fast to change as well as the batteries. Nice saw, will serve me well.

Package Deal

I bought the Reciprocating saw as a package deal that included 1 charger, 2 batteries, 1 drill, 1 hammer drill and a light. I bought the package just before Hurricane Matthew. I got my money back by extensive use of all the items in the package including the light. Powerful light and best of all, cordless

This tool has done two, month long remodel type projects for me since I bought it. My red, corded, supersawzall is busy collecting dust. I sometimes use 2ah batteries when on a scissor lift or ladder and they last well for 80% of my use but I have a couple 6ah for more punishing use. I've put the tool through back to back 6ah batteries with 2ah ones filling in during recharge times and it does anything I ask if it. Both for wood and metal. Easy to work with

Powerful and easy to use. My crew has no problem putting tools to the test. So far so good.

JUNK

A combination of weak power and no weight in the front have led to several injuries. Not for a Plumber / Pipe Cutting. Maybe Turkey Carver!

Freaking awesome sawzall. I am an HVAC technician, so I cut through old condensers, sheet metal, drywall all the time (tons of dust), and also cut through a 12" tree limb no problem with this thing. I almost use it as much as my impact hammer. The two speed selection is certainly nice, and the "quick attachment" blade chuck is nice too.
