What Customers Are Saying
The product is a versatile and effective putty that works well as a wood filler, drying quickly and being easy to sand. Many users praise its strength and durability, noting it holds up over time even in outdoor and high-wear environments. However, some caution it can be challenging to work with, as it hardens quickly and requires careful mixing and application. A few also mentioned the strong fumes as a potential downside, and some felt the instructions could be clearer.

Works well for general repairs and fixes
Would RecommendThis stuff is good for general minor to medium repairs and fixes. I purchased this Bondo to repair steel legs/frame on a picnic table which had rusted out over time. The legs had some major damage from dogs urinating on them. This Bondo worked well for patching up some small holes in the frame and closing up spots where rust could build. For the actual legs, I had to get something stronger since it would be supporting people sitting on it. I went with Bondo’s metal reinforced filler and that wo...

Does the job!
Would RecommendLove this product. Use it in place of wood filler in some projects as it doesn't crack like the filler does. Sands smooth & easy. The smell is strong and unpleasant but goes away once dried.Use a little at a time as dry time is fast.

Very easy to mix and use. Product set up the same day and sandable within 24 hours. Filled a rather large void in 3 applications and after primer and paint, you couldn’t tell there was a hole.

Small Detail
Would RecommendThis product worked perfectly and was EZ to use. One small detail would have made it better. Typically Bondo cream hardener used in auto-body repair has a darker color cream hardener. You know it's mixed thoroughly when it all becomes one consistent color. This product had a hardener that was the same color as the base product. This makes it difficult to know when it's properly mixed.

Bondo
Would RecommendThis is the first I used this product. I used it to repair the wood on my exterior door frames. It worked very well and I had no problem sanding it, nor did I have any problem in painting it. A great product, but you must work fast as it hardens quickly.

Amazing Log Repair
Would RecommendI used this product to repair some rotted logs on a log home. With a little patience and creativity you can exactly replicate the look of the log. Removed all the dead wood, filled with the all purpose putty following instructions. Smoothed out the surface, sanded and shaped repair, and was able to match previous stain color. Patch dried harder than surrounding wood and blends nicely. Good stuff, more repairs to fix. Only Lowes' has a 10% Veteran Discount. Check it out.
