40 ft Black Landscape Edging

Last year bought a much more durable and sturdy version. Professional landscaping edging only available in longer specs.

Great Edging Product

This is about the fourth roll I have purchased over the summer and into the fall. As I add new gardens to my garden area I purchase a roll. It is easy to install and works great to keep the grass out of the flower beds. There has been a price increase since the first three rolls which is a little detrimental to purchasing the 40' roll versus the 20' roll-the 20' roll costs what I paid for the previous 40' rolls and the 40' roll doubled in price. That would be my only complaint.

Great Product

Great product for the lawn barrier. Keeps grass from invading your planter area. Adds a backstop to edge to. Not the easiest to install as you have to dig a trench to the depth you want to bury the edging. When backfilled the dirt keeps the edging in place and is very difficult to pull out, not that you want to.

Plastic

It is plastic pushed through a mold and cooled then cut and rolled up. How does it cost so much?

Light Duty Edging

I purchased this product as it was the only black edging available at Lowes at the time. This is far lighter in gauge than products I've used in the past, and still have around most of my gardens. The joining tube provided with the edging was nearly impossable to install even using silicon spray and WD40.

Lowes closed my local store, I drive an hour now to get to Lowes OR I have to shop at Home Depot, EBS or Viking Lumber all within --10 miles. I am planning some projects-roof, siding, deck- and have to give a lot of thought as to whether I have materials delivered from Lowes. Before my local Lowes closed I received a door with a broken frame which I fixed and several cracked/broken clapboards which I worked around. Delivery guys seemed to be indifferent .

A very good edging

I have purchased this easy to use product before and will use it again. Great value.

Too flimsy

I bought 2 rolls of this and it was so flimsy and weak I could barely install it in a straight line.

Quality Has Declined In 16 Years

I bought a product just like this 16 years ago from the same Lowe's store. This one is only about half or two thirds as heavy as the other one. While serviceable, it is not nearly as good as the older one.

Easy use!

Made a flowerbed around my mailbox very simple with this prduct.

Good Edging for the price

Good edging for the price but the first roll did not come with connectors. The store only caries this brand in 40ft. So if you need just 20ft more, won't get it. You have to buy another 40ft roll.

Handles well after sun exposure for 30 to 40 minutes. The skirt/flange, or whatever you want to call it is an excellent addition (keeps it seated on the trench). It adds additional beauty to the adjacent plants, flowers and other features in the yard/garden. A super buy and easy to install. We recommend it highly.

compare prices next time

For a store brand product, this item is overpriced. I could understand if it were a "pro" quality product, but a consumer can tell that it is just a cheaper quality product. I'll check prices first next time.
