Too sticky for soft wood or exotic woods.
The tack cloth is so sticky, it was had to even remove it from packaging. I was afraid to use it on the soft spruce pine boards, which cost more than I get on my retirement check, so they are still in my cabinet. I might use them on another project where I use just construction grade lumber.
